Curriculum

Cambly Kids offers a structured curriculum with lessons that build on the previous based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) levels.

COURSES

BEGINNER Teaches the foundation of the English language with problem solving exercises and talking

Beginner English 1 (A1) Age: 4 to 8 years old	Recognize the English alphabet Read simple words and the names of basic objects (examples: animals and clothes) Understand simple sentences and expressions (example: “How are you?”)
Beginner English 2 (A1-A2) Age: 4 to 8 years old	Ask questions and use fixed expressions Ask and understand simple sentences about family and hobbies Read simple sentences and understand simple stories.
Beginner English 3 (A2) Age: 4 to 8 years old	Talk about problems using simple sentences. Describe things they have done Ask and answer questions about cultures and traditions
OR
Introduction to English (A1-A2) Age: 8+ years old	Read simple words and the names of basic objects (examples: animals and clothes) Understand simple sentences about the world around them and their family Describe things they have done

INTERMEDIATE Combines language learning exercises with the use of English to learn other academic subjects

Intermediate English 1 (A2 - B1)	Talk about things in the present and some past Understand and use question words to respond and ask about their surroundings Talk about hypothetical situations
Intermediate English 2 (B1 - B2)	Discuss problems and their solutions Understand and use complex grammar (examples: future, and perfect tenses) Use vocabulary about school subjects (examples: history and literature)

ADVANCED Designed to mimic academic lessons an English-speaking child would see in school

Advanced English 1 (B1 - B2)	Describe important aspects of ancient civilizations (examples: astronomy, agriculture, and language) Compare and contrast ancient cultures and customs to the modern world Discuss various academic topics
Advanced English 2 (B2 - C1)	Describe various aspects of the major biomes, (examples: climate, plants and animals) Relate their way of life with the customs of other parts of the world Have academic discussions about science and society
